TASMAC Closed List Tamil Nadu Overview
The Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) maintains a list of closed TASMAC liquor shops in Tamil Nadu. This list includes the details of liquor shops that are temporarily closed or have been permanently closed due to various reasons such as license issues, violations, or government regulations. The closed list is regularly updated by TASMAC to inform the public about the status of liquor shops in different areas. It is important for consumers to refer to this list to stay informed about the availability of liquor shops in their locality.
It is welcome that 500 liquor shops in Tamil Nadu will be closed from tomorrow; The timetable for closing the rest of the bars should be published!
Tasmac has announced that 500 of the total 5329 liquor shops in Tamil Nadu will be closed from tomorrow. This is a welcome step, albeit belated. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin had announced that complete prohibition of alcohol will be implemented in Tamil Nadu gradually. This should be the beginning of the journey towards it.
The Tamil Nadu government announced that 500 liquor shops would be closed in Tamil Nadu after more than two months, but the announcement has not been implemented. As announced in the Legislative Assembly, I have been continuously insisting that liquor shops should be closed immediately. As a result, 500 liquor shops will be closed from tomorrow. Apart from the closed liquor shops, the remaining 4829 liquor shops should be closed down gradually and complete prohibition should be implemented in Tamil Nadu. If 500 liquor shops are closed every quarter, complete prohibition will be possible in the next two and a half years. The Tamil Nadu government should immediately prepare and publish the timetable accordingly and take action to close the liquor shops accordingly!
