Rajasthan Birth Certificate

Birth certificate is a very important identity document, so keeping it for anyone can avail many services provided by the Indian government to its citizens. Obtaining a birth certificate becomes mandatory as it certifies the date and fact of one’s birth for all purposes such as obtaining the right to vote, enrolling in schools and government services, legally permitted to marry Claiming age. To apply for a birth certificate, you need to register as a first born. The birth certificate is issued after verifying the actual records of the hospital concerned. If the birth is not registered within the stipulated time, the certificate is issued after being duly certified by the police by order of the Revenue Authority.

It is mandated under law in India (as per the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969) that every birth/death delivery is registered within 21 days from the date of its occurrence with the Government of the State/UT concerned. Accordingly, the Government has put in place a well-defined system for registration with the Registrar here at the Center and by the Chief Registrar in the States, and by the District Registrars in the villages and premises in the city.
